Discounts and exemptions
- Bridge Card: buy 50, 100 or 500 prepaid crossings (cheaper the more you buy); £10 card issue fee; up to two vehicles can be registered for number-plate barrier lifting
- Concessionary Bridge Card: unlimited crossings for 12 months for £10, for people with a BS postcode receiving higher-rate DLA mobility or enhanced-rate PIP mobility
- No concession for Blue Badge holders
How to pay
Pay at the barrier by contactless card or device (Apple, Google, Samsung Pay) or chip and PIN; or use a Bridge Card. Cash is not accepted. American Express and Diners not accepted for Bridge Card purchases.

Good to know
Proposed rise: the Trust has applied to the Department for Transport to raise the toll from £1 to £1.50, assumed from about January 2027, and then by inflation each year. The toll stays at £1 until DfT decides (a public inquiry is possible). Weight limit 4 tons gross; maximum width 2.4m.
